Welcome Pete Settelmayer, CEO!

Dear Friends of the Club,

We are excited to share with you an important update regarding the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Los Angeles Harbor. As you may know, after 30 years of extraordinary leadership, Mike Lansing announced his plans to retire at the end of this year. After an extensive search and careful consideration, we are very pleased to announce the appointment of Pete Settelmayer as our new Chief Executive Officer, effective August 1, 2024

Pete brings a wealth of experience in education, youth development, and nonprofit management. He has over 15 years of experience in primary and secondary education and is passionate about empowering students from diverse backgrounds and underserved areas with impactful programs for elementary, middle, and high school students. Pete joins us with a deep commitment to our mission and a vision to continue to help young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens through a commitment to quality programs and services in a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment.

As a valued supporter of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Los Angeles Harbor, your generosity and commitment have been crucial in helping us achieve our goals. We are confident that with Pete at the helm, we will continue to build upon our successes and expand our impact in the San Pedro, Wilmington, and Harbor City/Harbor Gateway communities.

We invite you to join us in welcoming Pete Settelmayer to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Los Angeles Harbor. Thank you for your ongoing support and dedication to our cause. Together, we look forward to a future of continued impact and success. For more information about Pete and our Clubs, please visit our press release or website at www.bgclaharbor.org!
