Bringing our Wilmington Community Together

On October 30, our Wilmington Boys & Girls Club hosted the only Dia de los Muertos community event in Wilmington with over 200 people attending. Our Wilmington Club high school students organized the event and rallied the community to join them in celebrating this traditional holiday.

There were live performances by our Arts Academy jazz band, Danzantes Aztecas and Wilmington YMCA Ballet Folklorico. We had traditional altar “ofrenda” displays created by Banning High School – Youth Action Club, Banning High School – Spanish Department, I Heart Wilmington, Mujeres Unidas de Wilmington, SBCC and Wilmington Middle School Parent Center.

Thanks to everyone who supported! Check out the video for more.
