COLLEGE BOUND
My Future. My Education. My Choice.
College Bound is our highly successful college pathway support program available to all members, grades 2 through 12. Since we implemented the program, we have raised the graduation rate of our members from less than 50% in 2002 to 99% in 2022, with 97% of those graduates going to a four-year university or two-year college.

In 2022, 2,105 youth were involved in College Bound, with 97% seniors going on to attend a 2 or 4 year college or university. Over $17.9 million of financial aid and scholarships were obtained by our seniors.
COLLEGE BOUND IMPACT
Our College Bound pathway support program was founded at our San Pedro Cub in 2002, with only 30 high school students participating. Today, we operate College Bound throughout our three regions in the San Pedro, Wilmington and Harbor City/Harbor Gateway regions, with 1,740 youth participants. Additionally, through our High School Liaison Project with LAUSD, we are able to serve students outside of our membership by staffing college centers in 6 local high schools. In 2019, 623 seniors entered the College Bound program, 616 seniors graduated from high school and 560 went on to attend college.

"The College Bound Program has helped me navigate the college process. The staff here really guide you, especially because I didn't even know where to start. But they show you what you need to do during high school, how to apply for different colleges and even help you with financial aid and scholarships. They showed me what I was capable of."

TESTIMONIALS
"College Bound Case Managers help Club members develop individualized action plans. Not only do our members receive support with study skills, college applications, and financial aids/scholarships, our members encourage their peers to 'think big' about college too."
